ANANTA Release Date, Platforms, and Launch Details

ANANTA releases worldwide on 15 January 2027 for PC, PlayStation 5, and mobile. The date is official. The hour you can log in is not, and that gap matters when you plan launch day.

What the 15 January 2027 date covers

The date comes from the official announcement at Gamescom 2026 and is repeated on both the Chinese and the global sites. It is a worldwide window, not a per-region schedule. NetEase has confirmed the day, the three platform families, and simultaneous availability across them. It has not published an hourly unlock map, a timezone table, or a regional order.

That leaves a practical gap: on 15 January the game may be live in your region while another region is still waiting, or the reverse. The only reliable signal is the store listing in front of you: Steam's release state, the PlayStation store page, and the App Store or Google Play listing. Do not treat a countdown from a fan site as authoritative.

Which platforms are in and which are missing

PC, PS5, iOS, and Android are all part of the launch. Xbox Series consoles, Nintendo platforms, and Steam Deck verification are absent from every official platform list as of October 2026. This is not a soft maybe. It simply has not been announced. Articles claiming an Xbox version is in talks, or that a Switch build runs at a fixed frame rate, have no source.

PC players have two entry points: the Steam page and the standalone client offered through the official site. The Steam page is the better source for hard fields such as supported languages, controller support, and interactive-content disclosures. Its system requirements still read TBD for CPU and GPU; we cover that in the PC requirements guide.

There is no open beta, and probably will not be

ANANTA has run closed tests, including a CBT1 window in mid-January 2026, but it has never run a public beta. The developers say story and characters are the product, and a long public test would spend the surprise before launch. That position has not changed through 2026.

That rules out a whole genre of search results: no beta keys to claim, no second or third test sign-ups, no beta-exclusive rewards to redeem. If a page offers any of them, it is not describing this game.

The Steam page is visible in some regions, not others

After Gamescom, the overseas Steam listing became inaccessible from mainland China, while the official Chinese site, TapTap registration, PS5, and mobile channels kept working. This is a storefront visibility issue, not evidence that the game is region-locked or that PC play is unavailable. NetEase has not announced a mainland Steam rollout plan.

How much game is there at launch?

Two figures circulate. The first is roughly 100 hours covering main story, roaming, and side activities combined. It comes from a second-hand report of a conversation with the development team, not a published content breakdown. The second is a support commitment of at least seven years, which the publisher has described as an internal floor rather than a contract term.

Neither figure says how long the main story is, how many regions ship on day one, or how the endgame is structured. Treat them as scale indicators only. Pre-launch guides that turn them into a daily grind schedule are guessing.

Does progress carry across PC, PS5, and mobile?

Cross-progression is not confirmed. The game ships on four platform families, but NetEase has not committed to a shared account save, and fan wikis that mention it are extrapolating from the multi-platform release. Cross-play sits in the same position. Our multiplayer and cross-play page collects the store evidence and explains why the Steam tags look more social than the game does.

What to do before launch

  • Pre-register on the platform you will actually play. The milestone rewards are shared across the global counter, but delivery happens in-game, so the account you register with matters. Details are in the pre-registration guide.
  • Wishlist rather than pre-order. The game is free to play; there is nothing to buy in advance.
  • Do not buy PC parts for this game yet. The only official performance claims are DLSS 4 support and ray-traced reflections. The rest of the spec conversation is community estimation.
  • Plan for a server queue, not a preload. With no public test, launch-day traffic is unmeasured. A short delay is more likely than a broken client.

Unconfirmed

Unlock time, regional order, preload availability, cross-progression, and the final platform list beyond PC, PS5, iOS, and Android. We will update this page when those fields appear rather than guessing them now.

The short version

ANANTA is a free-to-play urban action RPG from Naked Rain Studio and NetEase, launching 15 January 2027 on PC, PS5, and mobile. There is no public beta and no confirmed unlock hour. If your launch-day plan depends on a precise time, keep it flexible until the stores publish one.
